How the Border Route Works
We drive you across. That is the whole point of this service.
Your chauffeur drives you through a vehicle port of entry — San Ysidro or Otay Mesa, chosen on the day for whichever is moving — and continues directly to the TIJ terminal. You are not asked to get out, carry your bags through a queue, or find your own way.
Border wait times move constantly. Our drivers watch them and pick the crossing and the departure time accordingly, which is most of the value of hiring one.
If you would rather cross on foot via the CBX pedestrian skybridge instead, that is a different journey — see the section below.
What About CBX?
A different way to reach TIJ — and not one we take you across.
CBX (Cross Border Xpress) is a pedestrian skybridge, not a vehicle crossing. Ticketed TIJ passengers walk across it themselves. Elite Mexico Tours does not operate CBX, does not sell CBX passes, and does not take clients across the border through it.
What we can do is drive you to the San Diego–side CBX terminal and drop you there, or collect you from it when you walk back out. That is a U.S.-side pickup and drop-off — the crossing itself is yours to make on foot, with your own CBX pass.

Does Elite Mexico Tours take clients across CBX?
No. CBX is a pedestrian skybridge and we do not operate it, sell passes for it, or walk clients across it. We can drop you at the San Diego–side CBX terminal or collect you from it, but the crossing itself is on foot and it is yours to make.
How much does a TIJ airport transfer cost?
It is a flat rate, quoted before you book, all-in, 20% gratuity included. The rate depends on your pickup point, vehicle and group size — request a quote and we will confirm it in writing.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight number and adjust the pickup time. There is no extra charge for a flight delay.
Can you pick me up at TIJ and take me to Valle de Guadalupe?
Yes. Landing at TIJ and continuing straight into Baja is one of the most common trips we run — wine country, Rosarito and Ensenada included.
